DARK STAIN
Sheathed from dark-stained pine with simple cabinetry, the master bathroom has the appearance of a rustic retreat within this Alabama house, designed by Susan Ferrier.
NATURAL LIGHT
The beach is right outside this California home, but you never would have known it based on its former dim, cramped layout. The space was reconfigured by designer Daleet Spector and additional large windows to allow in light. "The clients don't enjoy a lot of colour, so we worked with various textures rather," she says.
CHOCOLATE WALLS
A floating tub and brown grasscloth walls immediately cozy up a Pennsylvania farmhouse's master bath. Include some towels and bath salts for calm.
HIS AND HERS SINKS
Within an open-air Kenya house, designer Suzanne Kasler insisted on double sinks, a transatlantic amenity she knew the American owners could miss.
TUBSIDE FIREPLACE
Given that the Pacific Ocean views, Ohara Davies-Gaetano chose to add a sunken bathtub to this windowed alcove, plus a cozy fireplace. Now the owners can take in flickering flames and waves that are soothing.
